3D Globs |
Make those big trendy 3D
globs using nothing but Photoshop.

Have
you ever wanted to make those big 3D shapes you see all over the
place. If you aren't too skilled in or don't have 3D Studio Max,
you can use Photoshop to get decent results. Start off making
a new image, width: 400 height: 317. Open up Filter>Render>3D
Transform.

Click
the Cube Tool on the left and drag to draw a square in the large,
white space as seen similar to what we have on the left. It can
be any size, up to you, though the size we used is probably the
best.

Once
you get that, just go crazy and make hundreds of small squares
everywhere on the image. Once you're done, it should look something
like the image on the left.

Now,
click the Rotate Tool which is the second to last one on the right,
and start to drag the 3D glob you made over to its backside. It
might seem to get really bright on one side and dark on the other,
but keep rotating until it looks spoontacular.

Click
OK when you are done and the 3D Glob looks wicked. There
you have your simple 3D glob, go around, tell your friends you
know how to make 3D effects =p.

As
an optional step, you can go to Image>Adjust>Hue and
Saturation and play around with the settings to colorize that
bad boy. It may turn out to look like the killer image we have
here.
